SAT

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT ) is a standardized test conducted by College Board and is a requirement for admission to undergraduate courses in USA, Canada and other countries. College Board offers the SAT Reasoning Test and the SAT Subject tests. SAT Subject test is a one-hour test offered in five general subject areas like English, History & Social Studies, Mathematics, Science and Languages. You can take up to three subject tests on one test date.

SAT Reasoning Test measures the critical reading, mathematical and writing skills. The test is administered 7 times a year in US, Puerto Rico and US territories and six times a year at international locations.

Scoring:

Each section in SATâ Reasoning test is scored on a scale of 200 to 800 and the total scores are accorded out of 2400. Two sub scores are given for the writing section: a multiple-choice sub score on a scale of 20-80, and an essay sub score on a scale of 2-12.

Score reporting:

Score reports are available online and hard copy is mailed within 4 weeks. The registration fee includes mailing score reports to 4 undergraduate schools of your choice. For additional score reporting the candidate has to pay USD 9.50 per score recipient.

Score Validity:

The SATâ scores are valid for a period of 5 years.

Test Registration:

Registration for SATâ can be done online at www.collegeboard.com using a credit card. The examination fee for SAT Reasoning Test and Subject tests is as follows:
